Public website / Business integration
Hamad Center — Production Website & ERP Integration
Developed modules for the live Hamad Center website and integrated functionality from The Platform ERP into public-facing experiences.
Business context
The Hamad Center website connects public-facing experiences with functionality managed in The Platform ERP. This work spans an existing business system and a live public website, with different responsibilities on each side of the integration.
Website module development & ERP integration contribution
My contribution
Developed modules for the live Hamad Center website and integrated functionality from The Platform ERP, connecting internal administration with public-facing features.
Connecting administration with public experiences
Integrating ERP functionality into website modules connects internal business operations with the experiences visitors use. The ERP remains the internal administration context, while public modules expose the functionality intended for website visitors.
The conceptual flow below shows those responsibilities at a high level. It does not prescribe endpoint names, synchronization timing, protocols, or the production infrastructure.
Engineering considerations
- Public and authenticated functionality
- Public website features and authenticated business operations serve different audiences. The integration boundary must preserve that distinction as internal functionality reaches the public website.
- Working across an existing system
- My contribution focused on website modules and integrating functionality from The Platform ERP. The Platform case study provides the separate context for the ERP’s capabilities and architecture.
- Internal administration in The Platform ERP
- Integration / API boundary
- Public website modules
